Recently, the two-day “CYG’s 2023 Dual Carbon Training Program” was successfully concluded, engaging over 100 participants from various departments, including business, procurement, production, and administration to deepen their understanding of dual carbon policies, market COMPACTs, carbon management strategies, and carbon asset development.
1. Educational Format
The training utilized a hybrid format, combining online and in-person participation, and featured expert instruction from the dual carbon technology team at Changyuan Comprehensive Energy (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.(CYG CE). The curriculum encompassed eight thematic areas:

CYG CE presented a comprehensive overview of the fundamental concepts surrounding carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, relevant policy contexts, technological applications, and case studies. Additionally, they elaborated on CYG’s strategic planning and action frameworks for achieving carbon neutrality, thereby facilitating participants' deeper comprehension of the complexities and practical implications of dual carbon initiatives.
2. Leadership Insights
At the outset of the training, Ms. Sun Meiyang, Assistant to the Chairman of CYG, and Mr. Guo Weiming, General Manager of CYG CE, provided introductory remarks. Ms. Sun articulated the objective of enhancing the competitive edge of subsidiaries and fostering individual competencies in carbon management. She underscored the necessity of proactive engagement in upcoming dual carbon efforts and highlighted CYG's commitment to ongoing training and support in this critical domain.
Mr. Guo noted that this training marks a foundational step, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in subsequent low-carbon initiatives. He identified key areas for collective focus, including regular emissions assessments, photovoltaic system implementation, digital carbon management, and supply chain oversight. He expressed confidence that through coordinated efforts, CYG's capabilities in green and low-carbon initiatives will be significantly strengthened.
The training fostered an interactive learning environment, characterized by participants' active engagement and inquiry. This collaborative approach not only enriched their understanding of dual carbon strategies, carbon markets, and management practices but also reflected their commitment to CYG's 2035 dual carbon objectives.
